This is the second little caterpillar that I have found this year that is native to Florida. Both of them had traveled all that way from down South on either a plant or some cut Evergreens through thick and thin. Our first friend which arrived sometime in July was fat green and healthy. Through some thorough research we discovered that he would soon turn into a beautiful exotic moth. The second one pictured above came around the first heavy frost this season and was fully frozen when he was found. We brought him inside to show everyone how beautiful he was and shortly after he defrosted and began to move once again.
