Hello easter, you came and went with a bang!

Holy cow this weekend has been insanely busy and it is wonderful! I have been making bouquets all weekend non stop. That is literally a full 24 hours of designing in three days! There wasn't much time for photos but I did manage to sneak in a couple of these nested posies which flew out the door faster than I could make them.

Oh and did I mention that Sweetpea's has Sweetpeas right now? I know right? Aren't they gorgeous!

Thin Air

Something you may not know about me.. I love nature documentaries. It doesn't matter what they are about I usually love them all. I have watched a ton about the Rainforest and when I see plants come into my store that I've seen in the jungle I get all excited. Air Plants usually grow in the tree canopies and derive their moisture and nutrients from the air and rain and sometimes from debris accumulating around it. Exciting right? We recently brought some Air Plants in the store and although I have to mist them every day I must say that I still adore them.

Sweetpea's & Wedding Magazines

Just thought I should share with you some of the fabulous arrangements and boutonnieres that were done at Sweetpea's by my co-worker for a Weddingbells magazine photo shoot. The theme was "Preppy, Mod, Gossip Girl" and I must say Molly pulled it off flawlessly. 

Steering The Ship

We have had a crazy busy week at the shop and I have been all alone. The other floral designer was on holiday and the owner was doing landscaping quotes so it was just little old me in the store. Let me tell you I certainly learned a lot about myself and about responsibility in general. I also was reminded of how sweet my boyfriend is for putting up with me being so mental and stressed out. I adore being busy but sometimes it is a lot for one little florist on her own. Thank goodness Molly (the other designer) is back she is amazing and things are finally under control again. I managed to get one picture of an arrangement in though! Hope you like it.

Mason Jar Chandeliers

I know right? Mason jars can be used for absolutely anything. I am now super excited to maybe even attempt to make my own mason jar chandelier. The only problem is that the last time I tried to do something similar the lightbulbs where just too bright on their own but maybe this just calls for a second attempt with a dimmer bulb. All I know is that I am definitely inspired.

LandscapeTablescape

Not quite sure who the florist is but isn't this tablescape something else? I adore the huge white antique vases filled with a mass of the same flower. The foliage (boxwood I think?) that nestles the vases just make you feel like you are almost having a picnic. The venue is also quite fabulous as well. All in all I was definitely inspired.
